Job Duties

This position is with the Department of Homeland Security, within U.S. Customs and Border Protection, Office of Intelligence, Security Division in multiple locations. This position will be used to staff key positions within the Security Division. This is a one-year non-reimbursable position with an option to extend.

Qualification

Qualifications required: Planning, scheduling, coordinating, carrying out, and monitoring the effectiveness of the Sensitive Compartmented Information (SCI) Personnel Security program. Managing the SCI nomination process for selected applicants. Providing administrative SCI Security support for cleared personnel, including but not limited to visit certifications, managing Access Control program, processing of foreign contacts, foreign travel, and other appropriate day-to-day security support to SCIF operations. If the position requires a security clearance, employees must have a SECRET or TOP SECRET clearance to placement AND must maintain that level of clearance while performing in the position. Selected applicants for a JDA are requested to fulfill the items below during the JDA: Complete the DHS Training Course 15 days prior to the arrival to the JDA. Complete the DHS Joint Duty Assignment Progress Plan to include: Phase 1: Establish assignment objectives within the first 30 days of the JDA. Phase 2: Complete a self-assessment of the duties performed at the mid-point of the JDA. Phase 3: Complete a final review within the last 30 days of the JDA.
