About the Position: Serves as the Civilian Deputy to the Commandant, United States Army Air Defense Artillery School (USAADASCH), Fires Center of Excellence (FCoE), coordinates and integrates activities of the 30th Air Defense Artillery (ADA) Brigade, Office Chief of Air Defense Artillery (OCADA) and Directorate of Total Force Integration.

Job Duties
- Assists the ADA Commandant, oversees all ADA staff actions, projects, and activities.
- Represents Air Defense Artillery at conferences, meetings, and working groups, providing advice and guidance as necessary to government/non-government agencies at all levels to include cont.
- cont. DOD, Army Staff, Congressional staffs, major commands, and research.
- Study activities and various members of the training community to integrate air defense program actions, projects and activities to include influencing the orchestration of mission-critical training initiatives.
- Directs and supervises through subordinate supervisors the assigned program and functional assignments.
- Makes decisions on technical and personnel problems presented by subordinate supervisors; reviews evaluations of nonsupervisory employees rated by subordinate supervisors.
- Assures reasonable equity of individual employee performance objectives, standards and ratings among subordinate organizations.
- Recommends performance awards and salary/bonus distribution for subordinate employees; evaluates subordinate supervisors; m
- Makes or approves selections for subordinate nonsupervisory positions; and recommends selections for subordinate supervisory positions.
- Develops policies and plans for the development of current and future air defense training initiatives, and leader training programs.
- Ensures development of organizational work plans, short- and long-range schedules, priorities, work assignments and position structures to effectively, efficiently, and economically carry out the work of the organization.

Basic Requirement for Supervisory Senior Educational Advisor: Bachelors degree that included or was supplemented by major study in education or in a subject-matter field appropriate to the position. OR Combination of education and experience - courses equivalent to a major in education, or in a subject-matter field appropriate to the position, plus appropriate experience or additional course work that provided knowledge comparable to that normally acquired through the successful completion of the 4-year course of study described above. NOTE: YOU MUST SUBMIT TRANSCRIPTS WITH YOUR APPLICATION. In addition to meeting the basic entry qualification requirements, qualified applicants must meet the specialized experience shown below. Specialized Experience: One year of specialized experience which includes coordinating Air Defense Artillery (ADA) training activities, and review, develop and/or plan ADA training policies and procedures; Develop long-range and strategic plans and programs for the ADA School; Conduct briefings and manage complex staff actions across multi-functional, organization, command, agency, or governmental lines; Perform supervisory duties and resolve military and civilian personnel management matters; and Possess expert knowledge in the Department of the Army and TRADOC training (e.g., Structure and Manning Decision Review [SMDR] and capability development (e.g., Joint Capabilities and Integration Development System [JCIDS]) processes. This definition of specialized experience is typical of work performed at the second lower grade/level position in the federal service (GS-14). You will be evaluated on the basis of your level of competency in the following areas: Managing Human Resources Oral Communication Technical Credibility Time in Grade Requirement: Applicants who have held a General Schedule (GS) position within the last 52 weeks must have 52 weeks of Federal service at the next lower grade or equivalent (GS-14).
