Qualification
Applications will be accepted from U.S. Citizens within the commuting area of Guantanamo Bay, Cuba. This includes eligible DoD family members, military spouses and veterans who are in country or due to arrive within 60 days. Military spouse and family members may not receive employment preference until actually arriving at the overseas location. Applicants with at least a high school diploma or GED may be considered for 2000 Substitute position.
Education
Must meet OPM minimum qualification standards to be considered for this position. To qualify based on education, you must submit a legible photocopy of official transcripts from an accredited institution with your name, school name, credit hours, course level, major(s), and grade point average or class ranking with completion date. Transcripts must be in English. Foreign Education: If you are using education completed in foreign colleges or universities to meet qualification requirements, you must show that your education credentials have been evaluated by a private organization that specializes in interpretation of foreign education programs and such education has been deemed equivalent to that gained in an accredited U.S. education program; or full credit has been given for the courses at a U.S. accredited college or university.

Positions under this announcement will be filled by appointment in the Excepted Service under examining authority of 213.3106 (B) (6) This announcement may be used for the purpose of filling temporary, intermittent (on call, as needed) seasonal positions for the remainder of the current School Year and for the following School year. This announcement may be used to fill multiple vacancies. This is an inventory of candidates; as such, candidates can submit applications at any time. The pay rate for this position is: $156.00 Per Day. The purpose of this announcement is to establish an applicant pool for 2000 Substitute position(s) that may become available throughout the school year. Positions will be filled based upon the need and request from the school. Applicants may receive notification(s) when their submitted application has been referred for consideration. NOTE: The local commuting area is defined as the geographic area surrounding a work site that encompasses the localities where people live and reasonably can be expected to travel back and forth daily to work based on the generally held expectations of the local community.
