Job Duties
- Operates a small full-service bar, mixing and serving the full range of alcoholic and non-alcoholic beverages.
- Records sales, makes change or prepares charge slips in accordance with operating procedures.
- Stocks bar. Keeps bar, utensils, equipment and work area clean and sanitary.
- Uses tact and courtesy to deny further sales to persons whose conduct has become unruly or who appear to be intoxicated.

Must meet state/local age requirements for the serving of alcoholic at the time of appointment Be able to lift and carry weights up to 40 pounds. Possess math skills necessary to calculate patron bills and take inventory. Skill in mixing and serving alcoholic and nonalcoholic beverages Ability to monitor and direct the work of other bar staff. Applies simple arithmetic in calculating bills and making change. Ability to recognize intoxicated and unruly patrons and take necessary remedial action. Skill in recognizing impending shortages of inventory.

FWS Allowances and Differentials This is a federal wage schedule (FWS) position. All FWS employees are entitled to overtime work for work in excess of 8 hours in a day or in excess of 40 hours in the administrative workweek, whichever provides the greater benefit to the employee. Regular full-time, regular part-time (to include those in a limited tenure appointment category) and regularly scheduled flexible employees are entitled to Sunday premium pay when working Sunday shifts. A FWS employee will be paid a night shift differential of 7.5% for the entire shift when a majority of the employee's regularly scheduled non-overtime hours of work occur between the hours of 1500 and 2400. A FWS employee will be paid a night shift differential of 10% of the scheduled rate if a majority of the employee's regularly scheduled non-overtime hours of work occur between the hours of 2300-0800. Incentives and Bonuses Incentives may be paid. Up to 25% recruitment and retention incentive may be authorized for positions offering at least a guarantee of 10 hours per week. Non-Foreign Overseas Allowances Non-foreign overseas allowances, cost of living (COLA), and differentials will not be paid, contingent upon eligibility.
